Sex And The City Charity Dinner for Christies

Manolos at the ready, as Sex And The City hits Manchester in the name of charity.

On Friday 25th September, Carries, Samanthas, Mirandas, Charlottes and Mr Bigs from across the region will gather in all their finery at the Lowry Hotel, Manchester for the much anticipated Sex And The City Charity Ball.

The chic event, which has been organized by Simply4Charity – a charitable group founded by local entrepreneurs, Simon Thompson and Phil Powell and former international swimming champion turned businesswoman, Emily Pedrazzini – will see well-heeled guests go head-to-head in an exclusive charity auction to help raise much-needed funds for the specialist cancer centre, The Christie, in South Manchester.

The aim of the evening is to raise at least £20,000 to go towards The Christie’s plans for a £35 million Patient Treatment Centre. As well as the new centre, which is set to become the largest early phase clinical trials unit in the world, the centre has a wish list longer than Carrie Bradshaw’s shopping list and includes specialist patient beds and treatment chairs, costing £1,500 each. Medical equipment alone would top a staggering £13 million.
