Didsbury Comedy Club September 09 Line-up

Sunday 6th September 7pm

It’s clear that the guys running The Didsbury Comedy Club know their funny business. Two of the nominees for best stand up shows at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, John Bishop and Tom Wrigglesworth, have performed there in recent weeks, so you can see why the monthly comedy night is proving such a hit with South Manchester residents.

Westfest 09

Westfest 09 is a two day festival based in West Didsbury. It will take place on Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th September in the Burton Road and Lapwing Lane area.

The official site for the festival contains information about all the businesses taking part and their contributions, but clicking through to a page for each business is a pain if you just want to know the main events and where they are happening.

West Didsbury Resident Parking and Meters

After months of campaigning, a large area of West Didsbury is set to get residents parking, parking bays, and pay and display meters.

The council are in the process of finalising a scheme that will bring relief to many residents who find it difficult to park near there own houses due to the demands for free parking spots near to Withington Community Hospital and the shops, cafes and bars of Burton Road.
