After the recent excitement of the Barlow Moor Road Hole, we all thought that the council had solved the issue by replacing a large water pipe under the road.
Apparently not. The road was closed again yesterday ( Friday 15th May ) as the hole appeared to be back. Heavy rain may have helped to weaken the road for a second time in such a way that police had to close the road to all traffic yet again.
Although there was no hole on this occasion, a large dip in the road filled with rain water was enough to cause the authorities to take the decision that Barlow Moor Road wasn’t fit for the heavy traffic it usually carries.

Manchester City Council reported that there will be a celebration to mark the end of the 35 years service of Didsbury Parks Beehive Play Centre.
The event will take place between 1pm and 3.30pm Friday 1st May to share memories of the centre, allow people to catch up with old friends and find out more about the future of children’s play provision in Didsbury.
