Didsbury Beer Festival 2008
This weekend is the 1st Didsbury Beer Festival.
The venue is the St Catherines Club on School Lane, on the left 100 metres before Parrswood road out of Didsbury.
It’s opening hours are:
Friday 21 November 6pm – 11pm Price – £4.00
Saturday 22 November 12 noon – 5pm Price – £2.00
Saturday 22 November 6pm – 11pm Price – £3.00
They have an impressive list of ciders and even more impressive list of beers.
Once the cost of the venue and alcohol has been paid, any profits will be going to local charities.
The event will include food and music.
I will most certainly be there.

30 years of the South Manchester Reporter
This week the South Manchester Reporter celebrate 30 years of reporting news, events and sport from Withington, Didsbury and surrounding areas.
The paper, which originally launched as the Withington Reporter on 10th November 1978 has printed over 1500 weekly editions in that time. It it now read by over 50,000 people every week.
In March 1980 the paper changed it’s name to simply The Reporter and around it’s 10th anniversary in November 1988 it took on it’s current name of The South Manchester Reporter.
