Didsbury Restaurants Christmas menus 2008

I refuse to talk about Christmas at work until the 1st November.

Work comes first because Christmas parties have to be booked. Home can wait, or family can organise around me with just a list of the dates I’m not available.

Hog’s Head drinker turns to gun to prove point

Apparently an old fashioned fist fight isn’t enough to prove you are the alpha male any more, you have to resort to pulling a gun out and firing it in a crowded pub.

I was having a meal in Cafe Rouge next door to the Hog’s Head and witnessed the dozens of police and multiple ambulances arrive at the scene at around 9.30pm on Saturday night.

Costa Coffee comes to Didsbury

Costa Coffee Signage

After months of building work on the corner of Wilmslow Road and School Lane, the old Boots Chemist building is almost ready to take the first of it’s new tenants, Costa Coffee.

It seems however that not every Didsbury resident is impressed by the arrival of the coffee chain in the village. Only hours after the Costa signage went up, a message appeared on one of the exterior cream walls of the coffee house which read “Welcome to Clone town”.
